What to Expect

We know – it’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time. People usually have lots of questions, like:

  • Do I belong here?
  • Am I really welcome?
  • Will they ask me for money?
  • Will my kids enjoy it?
  • How should I dress?

Worship with Us

We aim to make your visit to trinitylife Church an enjoyable experience – easy, stress-free, relaxing, and hopefully inspiring. We’re working hard to make our church user-friendly for people, whatever their background, including those who have never been to church before. To help make you feel more comfortable, here is a brief overview of what to expect.

The children’s Sunday morning programs start at 10:30am and there are several options. We have a nursery (Ducklings) for infants and a toddler (Hummingbirds) program from age 3 to 5. Before the service, children from Grade 1 through grade 5 (Flamingos) can be brought downstairs for Sunday School (a program where children sing, hear a Bible story, do crafts together, etc.). If your kids are shy, they’re welcome to stay in the main service with you, but most kids really enjoy the kids’ programs. Please note that police checks have been completed for all staff and all classroom doors have windows in them for increased visibility.

Visitors Welcome

Our worship events start at 10:30am on Sunday mornings. When you arrive at Trinitylife Church, 5348 Sherkston Rd, please feel free to park in the spaces designated for visitors, located on the east side of the church. As you enter the church, there should be some friendly people to say hello, and direct you toward the auditorium. Feel free to find a comfortable seat of your choice in the auditorium or balcony. During your visit, feel free to ask anyone wearing a name badge for help or directions. They’ll be glad to assist you!

You’ll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in anything from office casual to jeans.

The service usually begins with some upbeat music, led by the Worship Team, followed by a welcome, and announcements. Sometimes there will be a drama or multimedia to further explore the theme of the day. Our Worship Team does a great job leading musically, with a contemporary feel (drums, guitars keyboards, vocalists). You’ll have some new tunes to hum throughout the week.

One of our pastors will begin the message, which usually lasts about 30-45 minutes. Our pastors do their best to make the messages interesting, enjoyable, and relevant to daily life. The message will always be based on the Bible, and how Jesus engages with our life. We aim to make sure that you’ll hear solid Christian teaching in intelligent, understandable, relevant terms. And hopefully, you’ll laugh at times and maybe feel a tug at your heart too. Our service concludes with another song and some encouraging words for the coming week, from the pastor.

Meet and Greet After the Service

After the service, you’ll pick up your kids from the nursery or their classrooms, and then we hope you’ll stay around, meet some people and enjoy some coffee/ tea and snacks. Church is about God and worship, but it’s also about community and friendship, so we hope people really experience warmth and friendliness at Trinitylife Church.

That’s about it. People regularly tell us that they really felt comfortable – “at home” are the words people often use to describe their experience. We hope you’ll stop by this Sunday or contact us for further information.
